JOB TITLE : Washer Dryer Operator
REPORT TO : Business Services Manager
JOB SUMMARY
The Washer Dryer Operator will be responsible for sorting, washing, drying and folding items received from clients and/or laundry contracts. Employee will also be responsible for segregating laundry by customer and grade, weighing laundry and assisting with proper documentation.
The Washer Dryer Operator will maintain that the washers and dryers are properly loaded and unloaded. The employee will also select the proper program card for washers and drying times for dryers. Employee will disinfect carts, machinery and floors and clean dryer filters.
Employee will adhere to Universal Precautions and follow all safety guidelines. Employee will contact supervisor for clean-up of any waste regulated by Blood-borne pathogens standard.
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE/LICENSE REQUIRED
No specific education is required. Elementary school is helpful, but not required.
HOURS WORKED
Employee will normally work eight hours a day, depending on the schedule.
NUMBER OF DAYS WORKED
May vary, but normally five days per week.
OVERTIME HOURS
Generally overtime hours are not scheduled; however, overtime may be required based on the needs of the company.
