The JMeals Packager/Driver will contribute to the vision, mission and values of the Youngstown Area Jewish Federation by preparing, packing, and delivering frozen meals to consumers with standards of excellence.
This is a part-time position with varying responsibilities based on ongoing and seasonal program offerings and events, but may include the following:
- Package frozen meals for distribution, paying close attention to ensure that correct numbers and dietary requirements are followed
- Load, transport, and deliver meals to consumers in a safe, timely manner
- Contact consumers to confirm delivery details
- Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record
- Adhere to assigned routes, utilizing routing software and lists
- Utilize vehicles as assigned (company vehicle or personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement)
- Maintain delivery records and promptly report any issues with deliveries, routes, or vehicles to supervisor
- Ensure that kitchen and food preparation areas are clean, sanitized, and operational
- Engage in food prep to streamline cooking and meal preparation and package prepared meals for freezing
- Coordinate with management and cooks to receive, stock, and properly store food in kitchens and storerooms, transferring food and supplies to the kitchen as needed
- Be familiar with and enact safety protocols and other policies to ensure the health and welfare of all members and guests, referring problems to appropriate staff as needed
- Communicate and cooperate with colleagues, members, and lay leaders as part of the operations team, including attending staff meetings as needed
- Adhere to all JCC and departmental policies
- Complete all additional duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements
Valid driver's license and clean driving record required. Must be able to consistently lift packages in excess of 50 pounds and move in and out of vehicles for deliveries throughout the day. The ideal candidate is highly responsible and reliable, with a keen attention to detail and strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Experience in a kitchen environment is preferred
