The Division of Chemistry in the Department of Chemical and Biological Sciences at Youngstown State University seeks a motivated individual with outstanding teaching skills to provide instruction primarily in our general and organic chemistry lecture and lab courses, including potentially serving as lab coordinator, depending on need. The YSU Division of Chemistry in the Department of Chemical and Biological Sciences is comprised of 12 full-time tenure track faculty, 2 lecturers, 4 staff members, over 50 majors in its BS and BA programs and an active MS program with 14 students. The department is exceptionally well-equipped in research instrumentation, and offers a rich, hands-on ‘learning through research’ experience for its students. As part of the College of STEM, the department also participates in the YSU Ph.D. program in Materials Science & Engineering.

Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university provided tools and resources. Ability to contribute to the diversity, cultural sensitivity, and excellence of the University community through teaching.
