Youngstown U-Pull-It is looking for a skilled Yard Worker with experience in operating heavy equipment to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our vehicle yard, assisting customers, and operating various types of heavy machinery to ensure efficient and safe operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Heavy Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts, cranes, and other heavy machinery to move and manage vehicles and parts within the yard.
- Vehicle Management: Assist in the organization, placement, and retrieval of vehicles in the yard.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, offering guidance on parts retrieval, and ensuring a positive experience for all visitors.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the yard and equipment, including the removal of debris and upkeep of machinery.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and ensure the yard is a safe environment for employees and customers.
- Inventory Management: Assist in tracking and managing inventory of parts and vehicles, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and similar machinery. Previous experience in a yard or warehouse environment is a plus.
- Skills: Strong ability to operate and maintain heavy machinery safely and efficiently. Excellent organizational skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
