Part-Time/ Full-Time Police Officer – Youngsville Borough Police Department

Youngsville Borough is accepting applications for the position of a Part-Time Officer, which may become an opportunity for a full-time position. Applications are available at the Youngsville Municipal Building located at 40 Railroad St., Youngsville, PA 16371, Monday – Friday 8am to 4pm. Completed applications must be returned to the Municipal building no later than April 01, 2025 at 4pm. The normal application fee of $45 has been waived for entry level police officer testing for 2025.

Applicants MUST be 21 years of age at the time of employment, must be a high school graduate or possess a GED, must be a US Citizen and must have a valid driver’s license. Veteran’s Points applied with submission of DD-214.

MPOETC certification Act 120 is preferred but not mandatory at this time. Test scores are kept on file for a minimum of two years.

Salary will be set and determined by Police Personnel Committee and based on experience. Shifts and hours may vary. Some officers may work an 8hr shift and another may be on a 10hr shift. All applicants will be subject to a written exam.
