What are the responsibilities and job description for the Insulation Installer position at Your Building Centers?
Your Building Centers, Inc. is a 100% employee owned company with 23 retail and manufacturing facilities located throughout central Pennsylvania. At YBC we offer to both our contractor and retail customers installed insulation as a service and we install both batt and blow-in fiberglass insulation.
Our business is growing and we are looking to expand our crews. We have an opening for a full-time, permanent position, Monday through Friday. The shift starts at 7 a.m. at our Williamsport location at 280 Arch Street and from there travel to jobsites is via our company vehicles.
The starting pay is $14/hour and after an initial training period to become proficient, the pay for the time on the job is switched to a higher paying piece-rate. A motivated Insulation Installer working piece-rate and who averages 40 hours/week should expect to make $40k-$50k per year.
Applicants will be required to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening before an offer of employment can be made.
The jobs responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Loading and tracking materials from store inventory onto the truck.
- Managing the inventory once it is on the job.
- Responsible for all PA Dot logs and inspections for the vehicle.
- Comply with all OSHA guidelines and YBC safety rules.
- Install insulation using various methods.
- Cut and size insulation to fit the framing.
- Must be physically able to climb ladders and scaffolding.
- Learn to operate the various pieces of equipment required to perform your tasks.
- Required to drive a company box truck and be able to pass a DOT physical.
- Drivers license a must.
- Other duties as assigned.
