Responsibilities :
- Conceptual Design : Collaborate with clients and project stakeholders to develop initial design concepts and architectural solutions that meet their functional, aesthetic, and budgetary requirements.
- Design Development : Translate conceptual designs into detailed architectural drawings, plans, and specifications, incorporating structural, mechanical, and electrical systems, and ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations.
- 3D Modeling and Visualization : Create 3D models, renderings, and visualizations of proposed architectural designs using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar tools to communicate design ideas and concepts effectively.
- Material Selection : Research and evaluate building materials, finishes, and construction techniques to recommend appropriate selections based on project requirements, performance criteria, and sustainability goals.
- Construction Documents : Prepare comprehensive construction documents, including floor plans, elevations, sections, details, and schedules, to communicate design intent and facilitate the construction process.
- Project Coordination : Coordinate with engineers, consultants, contractors, and other project team members to integrate architectural design with structural, mechanical, and electrical systems, and resolve design conflicts or issues as they arise.
- Construction Administration : Provide support during the construction phase by reviewing shop drawings, conducting site visits, responding to RFIs (Requests for Information), and ensuring that the built environment aligns with the approved design documents and specifications.
- Quality Assurance : Conduct quality reviews of architectural drawings and documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant codes, standards, and project requirements.
- Client Communication : Communicate with clients, project stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to present design proposals, solicit feedback, address concerns, and obtain necessary approvals throughout the design and construction process.
