JOB TITLE: Front Desk Receptionist | EMPLOYER: Your Oviedo Dentist
DEPARTMENT: Front Desk | REPORTS TO: Admin Operations Coordinator

Are you a skilled multi-tasker who thrives in a fast-paced environment? Do you find satisfaction in helping patients schedule and coordinate their treatment while keeping schedules running smoothly? We’re looking for a dedicated team member to manage our phone lines and ensure our doctor and hygiene schedules stay full and efficient.

In this role, you’ll be the problem solver who identifies and resolves scheduling conflicts, improving productivity and patient flow. We’ll provide hands-on training to help you understand the clinical steps involved in dental treatment and how to coordinate multiple procedures effectively—maximizing the doctor’s daily opportunities.

Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, as you’ll also play a key role in training and onboarding new team members in your department. Most importantly, your goal is to provide an outstanding customer experience, ensuring every patient feels valued and supported.

This position requires availability for at least one evening shift per week until 7 PM and two to three Saturdays per month. If you’re ready to be part of a dynamic team where you can grow and make a difference, we’d love to meet you!

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Answer multi-line inbound phone calls while following the 5-Star Phone Certification Program.
  • Make and coordinate outbound calls to fill the doctor and hygiene schedules.
  • Manage the schedule by identifying and resolving procedure conflicts for the next day/week.
  • Schedule appointments efficiently and accurately.
  • Communicate with patients via phone calls, texts, and emails.
  • Fulfill patient requests promptly and professionally.
  • Handle and process payments and refunds.
  • Manage communication and practice management software.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including faxing, scanning, and filing.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the office.
  • Train new team members in the role.
  • Enter and report on office and department statistics.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; Associate’s (AA) or Bachelor’s (BA) degree preferred.
  • 2 years of customer service experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer skills required.
