Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Building Maintenance professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in facilities maintenance, ensuring that our buildings are safe, functional, and well-maintained. This role requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating leadership skills while managing various maintenance tasks.
Duties
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on building systems including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Material delivery and pickup
- Equipment delivery and pickup
- Parts pickup and delivery
- Janitorial duties such as vacuuming, dusting, window washing, bathroom maintenance, floor sweeping and cleaning
- Fabricate and repair components as needed to ensure optimal functionality of facilities.
- Small engine mechanical knowledge
- Be able to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Conduct residential painting and other aesthetic improvements to enhance the appearance of the property.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking maintenance requests and scheduling preventive maintenance.
- Lead small teams on specific projects or repairs, providing guidance and support as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Experience
- Proven experience in building maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to weld and fabricate components as needed.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance best practices and techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documents.
- Proficiency in English for effective communication with team members and management.
- Leadership experience is a plus, particularly in coordinating small teams or projects.
