Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Arborist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about tree care and landscape maintenance, possessing a strong understanding of tree biology and health. This role involves working both independently and as part of a team to ensure the health and aesthetic appeal of trees in various environments. The Arborist will utilize specialized equipment and techniques to perform tree trimming, care, and maintenance tasks effectively.
Responsibilities
- Assess the health and condition of trees, providing recommendations for care and maintenance.
- Perform tree pruning using appropriate techniques to promote healthy growth.
- Operate lifts and tree climbing and other equipment safely while performing aerial work on trees.
- Conduct landscape maintenance tasks, including lawn care and garden upkeep.
- Conduct snow removal operations
- Utilize Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for mapping and managing tree inventories.
- Implement best practices for tree care, including fertilization, pest management, and disease control.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide exceptional service.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience in tree care or related fields such as landscape contracting, arboriculture and or horticulture.
- Proficiency in operating lifts, climbing, and rigging equipment safely.
- Knowledge of tree biology, species identification, and proper pruning techniques.
- Familiarity with GIS technology for effective tree management.
- Strong physical stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Certification as an Arborist is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to pursue certification is essential. Arborist certification will be required within 1 year of employment for this position.
- A valid driver's license is required for operating company vehicles.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
