Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. The ideal candidate will work with students to assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for speech and language disorders. This role involves collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to create individualized treatment plans that support each child's growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess students’ speech and language abilities through standardized testing and observational assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on the assessment findings.
- Provide evidence-based therapy services that address speech, language, and communication challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to promote effective communication strategies within the classroom and home settings.
- Monitor and document students’ progress, adjusting therapy approaches as necessary to meet their evolving needs.
- Educate families about speech and language development, strategies for supporting their child's communication, and resources available.
- Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and other multidisciplinary team meetings as required.
- Stay informed about current research and trends in speech-language pathology, ensuring best practices are applied.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- A certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
- Experience working with school-aged children is preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
