Corporate Director of Wellness - MEMORY CARE

In this role, you will direct the community wellness directors and executive directors to implement and maintain excellent standards of care, meeting all state, local and federal requirements.

This is a hybrid position, allowing both remote work and time in each community. You will need to be able to manage accordingly.

Position works with Memory Care communities that hold ECC license.

Policy/Procedures/Administration:

• Develops and maintains a working knowledge of all policies and procedures pertaining to the position, the department, and the personnel. Responsible for the outcome of inspections as it pertains to wellness department.

• Develops and implements active wellness program for residents, working with Life Enrichment Director.

• Communicates with the medical community as necessary.

• Audits physician’s orders and medication administration forms for accuracy, both physical and electronic.

• Audits resident files to ensure accurate and timely reporting, both physical and electronic.

• Monitor wellness budget, with an emphasis on staffing.

• Performs other duties as needed.

Residents:

• Develop and implement assessment checklist for potential move in to determine appropriateness. In situations of elevated needs, must be consulted before the contract is signed.

• Develop the initial Individual Service Plan (ISP) to meet the needs of the resident within 72 hours of move-in and the comprehensive ISP within 30 days of move-in and annually or as the resident’s condition changes.

• Investigate all resident and family complaints that reach beyond the community and report findings. Works with team to determine plan of action.

Staff:

• Conduct final interviews of candidates for wellness department leadership roles and if necessary, other wellness department positions.

• Manage performance related issues and follow up with community wellness directors in collaboration with the executive director.

• Develop training for the wellness department.

• Train and mentor community Wellness Director and Executive Director.

Requirements:

• Must have at a minimum, current State of Florida Licensed Practical Nurse license. RN preferred.

• Must complete the continued competency requirements for renewal of an active Licensed Practical Nurse license according to the State of Florida and maintain original documentation of completion.

• Must be ALF Core certified.

• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.

• Must be able to exert up to 75 lbs. of full force occasionally and exert up to 50 lbs. of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects including the human body.

• Must be available as needed.

• Must have two years of Wellness Director experience, in an ALF environment.

• Must have comprehensive knowledge of nursing principles and practices.

• Must have the ability to apply principles of management and human relations.

• Must be neat and professional in dress during work hours.

• Must be CPR and First Aid Certified.

• Must have basic computer skills and be able to learn and operate required programs.

• Must have strong customer service skills and be able to teach those to wellness team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
