What are the responsibilities and job description for the Advocate position at Youth Advocate Programs, Inc.?
Status: Part Time Hourly FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Summary of the Position: Hourly, Part Time position serving youth and families in the Philadelphia Evening Reporting Center
- Advocate will be responsible for monitoring the group along with colleagues
- Facilitating or assisting the facilitator with group discussions
- Transporting youth home after programming Monday through Friday
- Documenting activities for the day for each participant along with your colleagues
- Work hours are from 4 pm to 9 pm
- Applicant must be dependable, committed, and able to serve as a positive role model for youth in the community, school, and home settings
- All service plans will be based on a strength-based approach using the wrap around model.
Qualifications/Requirements: A minimum High School Diploma or GED is required.
Experience in community work and knowledge of community resources.
Position requires reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current automobile insurance coverage.
