What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coordinator - Rapid Response Coordinator position at Youth Advocate Programs, Inc.?
Status: Part-Time Hourly FLSA classification: Non-Exempt
Summary of the Position: The Coordinator will be a positive Outreach Liaison to youth and family members in the community.
- Work on relationship building to help develop a plan to ensure the safety of youth and family members; Solution focused immediately addressing behavior issues. Hourly services to include face to face time with youth and family with flexibility.
- Coordinator will work closely with CPI’s to prevent youth from coming into care, attend Diversion Staff meetings and court hearings and work closely with youth and family to identify natural support by providing community resources and help with coordination to other crisis stabilization providers.
- Respond appropriately to cases that have emergency needs and report all information immediately to supervisor and diversion specialist to further promote stabilization.
- May help with the family to identify resources or persons who can provide continued support beyond discharge from the program and encourage families to develop linkages.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Minimum required High School Diploma or GED
- Bachelor’s or Masters Degree preferred in psychology, sociology, social work or related
- At least one (1) year of experience in crisis stabilization preferred.
Bi-Lingual/Spanish Speaking candidates are highly encouraged to apply
Position requires valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance coverage.
