What are the responsibilities and job description for the Employment Instructor position at Youth Advocate Programs, Inc.?
Status: Part-Time Hourly FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Summary of the Position: The Instructor assists with Supported Employment through the OVR program for the summer program. Daytime hours are required to support youth during the summer work programming.
- Instructor will contact and meet with area employers to establish relationships.
- Develop supportive relationships with participants.
- Help prepare employment proposals and negotiate job opportunities.
- Ensure compliance.
- Assist with development of job readiness skills and interviewing skills.
This position offers flexible hours, competitive weekly pay, and activity reimbursement.
Hourly Rate: $30 per hour face-to-face and $17.00 per hour non-face to face
Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor’s degree is preferred. High School or GED required with minimum one year of paid experience working with young adults.
- Experience in community work and knowledge of community resources.
Position requires reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance coverage.
