What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Based Therapist - Master's Level position at Youth Advocate Programs, Inc.?
Status: Full-Time Hourly FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Summary of Position: Family Based Mental Health Therapist works in a co-therapy team to provide intense, time limited therapy to children and their families. Position holds induvial , family, parent, and sibling therapy sessions as well as case management. Services are provided to children that are at risk of placement and need an intensive treatment modality. Position may require 2-3 evenings a week and crisis intervention as needed.
- Masters Level - $50,000 -$55,000/annually
Will discuss work hours and pay during interview.
Qualifications/Requirements: Master’s Degree in counseling, therapy, psychology, social work, sociology, or related field of study positions available.
- Experience in therapy, children services, or in a mental health setting.
- Two years of experience or full time equivalent paid experience is required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
- Cultural competence and a commitment to family preservation philosophy.
Position requires reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance coverage.
Bi-Lingual/Spanish speaking is a plus.
