What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paralegal position at Youth Advocate Programs, Inc.?
Status: Full Time Hourly FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Summary: Paralegal will assist the Office of the General Counsel (OGC) by providing clerical and research support services including document preparation and review; interviewing clients and witnesses; research, investigations, and fact checking.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Associate's in Paralegal Studies or related field required. Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field is preferred.
- Paralegal certification from an accredited institution (e.g., NALA, NFPA, or ABA-approved program).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a paralegal in a law firm or corporate legal department.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in legal research databases.
- Familiarity with legal document management software.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certified Paralegal (CP) or Advanced Certified Paralegal (ACP) designation is a plus.
Bi-Lingual/Spanish Speaking is a plus.
