POSTION SUMMARY: This is an entry level management position responsible for the supervision and coordination of quality services and staff of an adoption case management team focused on the provision of case management services in adoption.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Oversee daily operations of the Adoption Team under the Program Director or Assistant Director
  • Direct client data collection and reporting processes, ensuring service delivery and program outcomes
  • Knowledge of Florida Child Welfare statutes, administrative code, operating procedures, and additional policies
  • Advanced skills in communication, motivation, training, and employee evaluation
  • Regularly meet with supervised workers for mentoring and performance monitoring
  • Monitor adoption case records, file compliance documents, and review adoption reports and court orders
  • Support workers in achieving legal permanency for youth via adoption
  • Regular communication with referral agency to review cases and program compliance
  • Coordinate team on-call cycle for client access to case management and staff
  • Handle low-level crisis calls and situations, engaging chain-of-command as needed
  • Participate in community groups, meetings, and trainings related to program issues
  • Perform duties within contract, state, federal regulations, company policy, and regulatory standards
  • Authorized to access protected health information
  • Complete other tasks or special projects as assigned
  • Direct supervision of adoption case managers, ensuring workflow coordination, accuracy, appropriateness, and timeliness
  • Available as a mentor and coach to assist and train team members
  • Occasionally handle cases to troubleshoot and ensure service delivery
  • Computer literacy required
  • Skills to assist, interpret, and deliver case and court-related information
  • Positive attitude with patience and respect for peers, team members, children, and families
  • Valid Florida driver’s license and insurability by the Agency’s insurance carrier
  • Use of personally owned vehicle may be required
  • Clear, concise documentation skills and ability to teach these skills
  • Facilitate large groups and manage group dynamics
  • Punctuality and readiness for work
  • Compliance with EEO principles and maintaining workplace dignity and respect
  • Cooperative teamwork
  • Respectful behavior towards others
  • Ability to take guidance and direction from supervisors
  • Adherence to the agency's core values and mission statement
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suites

Requirements

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • Bachelor's degree in human services, master’s degree preferred.
  • Case Management Certification required. Subject matter expertise in foster care and adoptions. 2 years of supervisory experience and 2 years in direct service.
