WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Oversee shift operations in a residential setting, including facility maintenance, food services, and client supervision.
- Ensure accurate and timely record-keeping.
- Handle critical situations with consultation from the On-call Supervisor.
- Act as a role model for clients, demonstrating appropriate behavior.
- Transport clients when required.
- Work during extreme weather events if necessary.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Arrive to work on time and follow agency policies and procedures.
- Respect EEO compliance and maintain dignity and respect in the workplace.
- Work cooperatively in a team setting.
- Show respect to clients, families, and community partners.
- Take direction from supervisors and uphold agency values.
- Supervise residents, assign tasks, and manage behavior.
- Monitor residents’ whereabouts and notify law enforcement if necessary.
- Lead group discussions and plan recreational activities.
- Complete intake processes, monitoring notes, and incident reports.
- Transport residents if over 21 and authorized.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the shelter.
- Manage medications using the Pyxis system.
- Complete required training and certifications (e.g., CPR, First Aid, Managing Aggressive Behavior).
- Handle crisis situations and use the on-call process.
- Provide excellent customer service and complete all paperwork (shift, food service, etc.).

Requirements
WHAT YOU NEED:
Education and Experience: BSW/AA preferred; 2 years of direct work experience with adolescents. Work experience in a residential setting preferred. Florida driver’s license and clean DMV record required.
Physical Requirements: Requires a high degree of physical activity including the ability to run, jump, bend, and stand for significant time periods (2 hours), lift, and carry 50 pounds. The ability to travel on a regional basis as needed for training and transport.
