What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Worker position at Youth and Family Programs?
Youth and Family Programs is seeking to hire a full time Social Worker to work in a fun team atmosphere.
Job Duties:
- The candidate will be responsible for carrying cases and coordinating services for children and their families. This includes working with biological families, foster families and county social workers.
- Having regular contact with clients, maintaining case notes, assisting the foster parents with needs specific to clients, monitor or supervise visits as needed.
- Attend family centered team meetings (FCT, CFT, TPM, FARE, FPM, etc...) and any additional County or school meetings as needed or required. Knows and follows confidentiality law and procedures at all times.
- Completes SAFE Home Studies and re-certifications.
- Is On Call as needed.
What we are seeking:
- Must have a masters degree or, working towards a masters degree. (Acceptable degrees: Social Work or Social Welfare; Marriage, Family and Child Counseling; Child Psychology; Child Development; Counseling Psychology; or Social Psychology)
- Must have a sense of humor and appetite for working in a positive team environment.
- Candidate must be able to achieve goals independently but also contribute as a team player.
- Highly self-motivated and be able to learn quickly.
- Dedicated, hard-working, and driven to do the right thing.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $29.00 per hour
