About YCS Cavan Group Home
YCS Cavan Group Home provides residential care for adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in a supportive group home setting. We are hiring immediately for Personal Assistants to help ensure the well-being, safety, and personal growth of our residents.
What You’ll Do:
As a Personal Assistant (similar to a Direct Support Professional/DSP), you will:
- Assist clients in achieving their individual goals outlined in their Individual Habilitation Plan (IHP).
- Provide daily care such as personal hygiene, housekeeping, meal preparation, and medication support.
- Support clients with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and mobility assistance as needed.
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of medications, their purpose, and potential side effects.
- Utilize proper body mechanics and mobility transfer techniques to ensure safety.
- De-escalate crisis situations and provide physical intervention if necessary.
Maintain accurate and timely records of care and support provided.

- Valid driver’s license
