ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR:
Under the direction of the Vice President, shall perform highly responsible administrative technical and supervisory work with complex and varied duties pertaining to the operations and functions of the program.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, business administration, public administration, education, social services, child development or closely related field. Minimum of four (4) years of responsible administrative experience as documented by past employment relating to supervision of staff, program operations and functions or any combination of education and experience to equal ten (10) years.
- Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in interpreting department policy and staff supervision matters. Ability to organize personnel and operations to accomplish project goals within established time limitations. Broad knowledge of rules, regulations, and policy applicable in the processing or completion of business details.
- On-going monitoring of the established systems and services is imperative to ensure quality services. The Associate Director must be able to demonstrate and articulate their on-going monitoring methodology and demonstrate documentation of all systems and services.
JOB CHARACTERISTICS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- This position is exempt from overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act. This is a professional position which requires organizational and communication skills, as well as judgment, tact and diplomacy in contacts with Youth Development, Inc. employees, community residents, parents and local government agencies. Strict adherence is required to all regulations concerning confidentiality. Project management experience preferred.
- Good general health. Physical will be required at time of hire.
- Background investigation to include fingerprinting will be required.
- Frequent travel is required. Valid driver’s license and proof of satisfactory car insurance are required.
- Youth Development, Inc. is an at-will employer. Employment is by mutual consent of the company and employee, and either may terminate the relationship at any time with or without cause or advance notice. This job is contingent upon funding; however, availability of funding is not a guarantee of continued employment, nor does it imply any specific term of employment.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Not Inclusive):
- Work closely with the Program Manager to develop and implement a strategic plan for the program.
- Provide support to the program to ensure Scope of Work is met with special adherence to deadlines for deliverables.
- Work closely with the Program Manager to complete a marketing plan in a timely manner.
- Work closely with the Program Manager and staff to ensure that the monthly, quarterly, and annual reports are submitted in a timely manner.
- Work closely with Vice President and Program Manager to develop a sustainability plan Ensure that all staff complete the required training requirements.
- Ensure that all staff complete the required training requirements.
- Approve all expenditures of projected funds.
- Develop program policies and operating procedures based on the program.
- Attending all required meetings related to the program.
- Other duties as assigned by the Vice President.
