Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Youth Worker to join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of young individuals. As a Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support, guidance, and mentorship to youth in various settings.
Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with youth to build trust and rapport
- Supervise activities of daily living (ADLs) for youth in need
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors
- Engage in home and community care activities to ensure the well-being of youth
- Offer caregiving services to support the physical and emotional needs of youth
- Supervise activities and ensure a safe environment for youth
- Collaborate with behavioral health professionals to address the mental health needs of youth
Skills
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with youth and team members
- Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) for providing necessary care
- Valid driver's license for transportation needs related to youth services
- Experience working with children and adolescents with mental health concerns preferred
- Previous experience in caregiving roles demonstrating empathy and compassion
Qualifications
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, have clean driving record with an active driver's license, be able pass a local and FBI/DCI criminal background check, child abuse registry check, and pre-employment drug screen.
