We are seeking to hire a full-time Operations Manager responsible for the overall operations of Stonewater. Stonewater is nestled in the heart of the cascades on 158 acres just 30 minutes from the beautiful town of Leavenworth. It is an ideal playground during all four seasons. The Operations manager role includes asset management, logistics, and preparing for guests of our adventures, retreats, and leadership programs. The wide variety of gear used on adventure trips, as well as the multiple camping and lodging locations, is crucial in keeping Stonewater professional, safe, and providing an astounding guest experience. 


Key Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Leadership: Leads and facilitates various staff and groups in the preparation and launch of adventure trips and retreats. Orchestrates the return of trips and closure of retreats, providing accountability for self and various staff involved. 
  • Administration: Develop and manage the operations' strategic plan and budget, along with documentation of gear rotation, replacement, and risk management issues. Program equipment purchases are made through the Operations manager. 
  • Logistics: Manages and maintains campgrounds, equipment, vehicle feet, Adventure Center, and other program-related Stonewater areas.
  • Team Involvement: Actively participates on the local management team, possible organizational sub team, and greater organizational team events and training.
  • Other: Duties as assigned by your supervisor.


Reports to: Stonewater Director

Supervises: Full time staff that have been scheduled to help in operations, summer staff, volunteers and any work crew that is schedule to help with projects.

Works Collaboratively with: Hospitality, Other base Operation managers, Work groups, Full time team and various staff across the organization.


Qualifications:

  • One to three years of related experience.
  • Higher education degree preferred but not required.
  • Clear, concise, and compelling communication skills, written and oral.
  • Attention to detail and proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe, excel and other software applications or willingness to learn.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and work with others in a team setting.
  1. Active and growing relationship with Christ and willing to sign Youth Dynamics Statement of Faith.
  2. Demonstrated ability to work harmoniously with people from varied cultural, socioeconomic, educational, and experiential backgrounds. 
  3. A passion for reaching young people.
  4. Able to work well independently and within a team.


Salary and Benefits:

  • Pay* Starting pay range from $42,000 - $54,000
