We have a new, exciting opportunity for a Clinical Supervisor within Youth Emergency Services!
YES’ mission is to serve homeless and at-risk youth by providing critically-needed resources which empower them to become self-sufficient. YES provides these resources to youth experiencing homelessness through trauma-informed support, develops leadership and employment readiness of youth and partners with youth to advocate for systems of change.
Compensation is based on current License: Range 60K-76K
JOB PURPOSE
Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Clinical Mental Health Supervisor primarily oversees the program operations of mental health services program including providing individual and group supervision to Master level students and licensing candidates. Other aspects of this role include providing client services such as individual and group therapy, providing training to staff, conducting diagnostic assessments and is a member of the Admissions and Discharge team.
ESSENTIAL JOB functions
- Provide individual and group supervision to employees pursuing their clinical licensure.
- Provide individual and group supervision to Master level students.
- Provide individual and group counseling services to youth.
- Conduct diagnostic assessments as requested; develop accurate and timely reports summarizing findings of diagnostic assessments including treatment plan and safety plans.
- Provide training to staff related to co-occurring disorders, coping skills, trauma, grief, and other mental health disorders and treatment options.
- Maintain positive and professional relationships with the community as a representative of Youth Emergency Services.
- Maintain professional relationships with clients while following code of ethics.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to assess and work with clients with mental health problems, through education, training, and experience.
- Must possess excellent verbal skills and present in a positive manner.
- Maintain compliance with state and federal rules.
- Understanding of the Non-Profit industry and working with marginalized communities.
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check, child abuse registry and drug test.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) preferred; Provisional Licensed Clinical Social Worker (PLCSW).
- Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (LMHP) preferred; Provisional Mental Health Practitioner (PLMHP).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
