This role involves data entry, reviewing certified payroll documents, and assisting with compliance checks under the Davis-Bacon Act (DBA). The ideal candidate is highly organized, has experience with data processing and documentation, and can work in a fast-paced federal contracting environment.
Key Responsibilities
Data Entry & Transcription:
- Accurately transcribe certified payroll submissions from PDF files into an electronic database.
- Review wage data, including hourly rates, fringe benefits, and union statuses.
- Organize construction project data for analysis and reporting.
- Assist with data reviews to ensure compliance with 29 CFR Part 1 regulations.
- Conduct basic error-checking and quality control assessments on wage data.
- Identify discrepancies in payroll records and escalate issues for resolution.
- Maintain an up-to-date digital repository of wage survey records and documentation.
- Assist in data verification and report preparation for senior analysts and project managers.
- Support transition plans by coordinating knowledge transfer activities with federal stakeholders.
Required Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience in data entry, research, or administrative support.
- Experience working in government contracting or compliance-related roles preferred.
- Familiarity with payroll processing, wage data, or labor compliance regulations is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and database management tools.
- Experience working with PDF document conversion and transcription software.
- Basic knowledge of statistical methods for data validation is a plus.
- Highly detail-oriented and organized, with a strong commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently while following structured guidelines.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to interact with federal stakeholders.
- Must be able to obtain a Tier 2 Public Trust Clearance.
- Must complete the HSPD-12 background investigation and fingerprinting process.
- Remote with telework flexibility (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 7:30 PM EST).
