Position Summary The Parent Life Director is a position that requires spiritual and organizational leadership skills, the ability to work with and through other people, and strong communication skills. S/he is primarily responsible for, but not limited to, overseeing the Parent Life ministry connected with the Manatee County TAPP program. The long-term goal is to replicate exemplar Parent Life ministry sites throughout the Suncoast YFC ministry area. - Build a team culture that embodies the 5 essentials
- Recruit, train, and maintain volunteer ministry leader team in accordance with the processes found in the Knowledge Base
- Create a strong connection between local churches and the ministry site
- Provide training materials and ministry site standards for all ministry leaders
- Develop healthy 3 Story teams for each ministry site
- Establish necessary support and guidelines to ensure healthy and growing ministry at all sites
- Be an advocate in the community for young people
- Report progress and ministry updates to YFC
- Responsible for managing, facilitating and serving in the Relational Ministry Actions
- Direct the 3 Story Team at their site in accomplishing the standards outlined in the RMAs found in the Knowledge Base
- Establish and develop programming materials
- Train and evaluate ministry site leaders in the implementation of curriculum materials
- Organize and categorized the task required to create a meaningful and sustainable ministry in a checklist format that leaders can begin to incorporate into their daily, weekly and monthly rhythms of ministry
- Responsible for New Sites being implemented in the correct manner according to Ministry Model 101’s found on Knowledge Base
- All existing Ministry Sites are healthy and growing according to the standards and best practices outlined on the Knowledge Base
- Organize each site, with your team, for ministry readiness throughout the week
- Reach out to the Executive Leadership Team about any issues of maintenance, safety, or property issues that need to be addressed and resolved
- Organizations using property follow our Building Use Agreement
- Seek God’s guidance and wisdom, through prayer and meditation, for the organization as a whole as well as for specific ministry initiatives.
- Participate and lead regular times of prayer, devotion and worship as a regular aspect of your role within YFC.
- Teach and preach from the Holy Bible at YFC staff meetings, conferences, camps and events.
- Model empathy, humility and care for all people. This includes promoting equity and inclusion in word and in the practice of faith expression.
