LOCATION: Rappahannock County
Roles & Responsibilities
- Build a positive relationship with students based on trust, caring, unconditional regard, and individual strengths and needs.
- Provide individual, group and classroom interventions, and maintains accurate and concise notes to create Individualized Service Plans, Quarterly and Monthly reports, and closing statements.
- Provide therapeutic and crisis intervention and de-escalation on an ongoing basis as needed.
- Participate in classroom, program and individual student activities to assess student, school, and program needs.
- Provide ongoing support and intervention (as needed) to parents and families of students within the TDT Program, including but not limited to home visits, parent contact, interventions, etc.
- Provide follow-up care and support to students transitioning out of the Day Treatment Program, such as referring individuals to appropriate level of care.
- Possess the skills to collaborate develop individualize Individualized Service Plan (ISP) to meet the needs of each student.
- Keep current on methods and procedures concerning working with individuals having behavioral and emotional needs to include continuing education seminars related to their field of work.
- Attend and participate in weekly Clinical Supervision meetings, as well as work related trainings and events as mandated by YFT.
- Consult with TDT Director, Regional Coordinator for guidance and direction for emergency and/or high risk situations.
Qualifications
- Able to work full time.
- A master's degree in psychology from an accredited college or university with at least one year of clinical experience with children and adolescents; OR
- A social work bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited college or university with at least one year of documented clinical experience with children or adolescents; OR
- A bachelor's degree in a human services field or in special education
- Any applicant for the position shall submit the following to demonstrate compliance with the qualifications required by this regulation for the program director: (1) Official transcripts from the accredited college or university of attendance within 30 days of hire; and documentation of prior relevant experience.
- Must have a valid drivers license and current negative TB screening prior to hire.
