Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Lead Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in providing guidance and support to individuals facing various challenges. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on client assessments and needs.
- Provide direct counseling services, utilizing techniques such as motivational interviewing and grief counseling.
- Conduct research data collection to evaluate the effectiveness of counseling programs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address the needs of clients, including those with disabilities and autism.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions, incorporating dance therapy and other creative modalities as appropriate.
- Provide crisis management support, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients during emergencies.
- Mentor and supervise junior counselors, offering guidance on clinical research practices and client interactions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in clinical settings, particularly in special education or working with individuals with disabilities.
- Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology and its implications for counseling practice.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations while maintaining empathy and professionalism.
- Familiarity with crisis management strategies and techniques for working with diverse populations.
- Certification or training in relevant therapeutic modalities such as dance therapy is preferred but not required.
