What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Program Manager position at Youth Impact Mentoring?
Position Overview:
The Program Manager reports to the Executive Manager. This position is responsible for leadership development and support to volunteers and school program partners.
The Program Manager is responsible for maintaining a high standard of excellence in mentoring and supporting services to at-risk youth. The Program Director is responsible for meeting operational goals and objectives, keeping the organization informed of current research and information relevant to the program and working with staff and the Executive Director to maintain an ongoing program evaluation. The Program Director will represent the Org in the community and will evaluate special community collaboration opportunities.
Candidates must live in Metro Phoenix area, (SE Phoenix or East Valley a plus)
Program Manager Responsibilities:
Program Management: Manage and Support mentoring programs and activities that align with the organization's goals.
· Be part of the leader team and help plan, execute and lead Adventure Weekends
· Write and enhance program protocol and curriculum consistent YIM core values.
· Participate and Lead in weekly school circles and youth events.
· Organize and lead Monthly Adventure Outings
· Delivery of program services, ensuring safety protocol, are enforced, in addition to reporting and accountability requirements.
Mentor Recruitment & Training: Recruit, train, and support volunteer mentors, ensuring they have the tools and resources needed to effectively support the youth.
· Member of Training Team for initial Mentor Facilitation Training I.
· Plan and coordinate Level 2, Mentor Facilitation Training II to develop Lead Facilitators.
Program Evaluation: Develop and implement evaluation tools to measure program outcomes and impact, making adjustments as necessary to improve program effectiveness.
· Facilitate collection of program impact data from all parties involved in programming.
Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain needed relationships with schools, and Corporate Volunteer teams.
· Correspond/coordinate with school administrators and liaisons.
· Oversee the collection of enrollment/release forms and maintenance of said records.
· Communicate with school personnel, families, referral agencies and other organizations on behalf of Youth Impact Mentoring.
Qualifications
- Preferred bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling or education.
- Proven experience in working with youth, education, mentoring or nonprofits
- Experience managing teams and coordinating youth-focused programs.
- Familiarity with trauma-informed practices and positive youth development.
- Must pass fingerprint background check.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work some weekends for events and trainings
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
