The Youth Life Center of The Arts is looking for one after-school program assistant to join our 13 person strong team. We are located on 216 Valley Hill Road SW in Riverdale, GA. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, and reliable.
Duties
Duties
- Provide participants with the appropriate leadership during the program
- Provide a warm and caring atmosphere for participants
- Maintain open communication between the Youth Life Center of The Arts and school personnel
- Prepare activities that are developmentally and age appropriate for school age children
- Maintain a safe environment for participants
- Submit all written correspondence to the Program Administrator for approval prior to distribution
- Supervise and monitor children's indoor and outdoor activities
- Attend staff training and meetings
- Maintain a positive attitude toward coworkers, parents, and the school
- Report any problems which arise with participants, other employees, or the school to the Program Director
- Responsible for all activity and room preparations for the program
- Keep the room neat and orderly
- Follow and enforce all safety policies
- Assist with participant checkin / out
- Other duties as assigned
