Summer Youth Facilitator
We are looking to award qualified applicants with an in-demand Summer Job working with youth ages 10-17 for the Summer of 2025. We are prepared to compensate with a stipend, letter of recommendation, and a 60-second video recommendation at the end of employment.
Based out of Corpus Christi, TX we are on a mission to inspire, engage, and empower disadvantaged and underprivileged youth through leadership development, life skills, and adventure activities. Each Summer we run a total of five Summer Camps, and each one is action packed with a variety of activities. Activities such as canoeing, rock climbing, ropes course, backpacking, kayaking, SCUBA, and more. Along with our summer camps, we also partner with schools, recreation centers and public housing to facilitate activities for youth. Summer Facilitators will go through two weeks of training prior to summer camps. There are 5 week-long camps that summer staff will be responsible for with rest days in between. Weeks vary depending on the schedule. Summer staff will also assist with day programs as needed.
Preferred candidates have experience working with non-family youth. Candidates should also have experience with outdoor activities, such as camping, kayaking or canoeing, rock climbing, or backpacking. College students seeking degrees in education, kinesiology, psychology, ecology, or related fields are encouraged to apply.
Dates: May 29 - August 15, 2025

Job Description
- Reports Weekly to Program Director
- Facilitate Youth Odyssey Summer Camps (overnight and day camps) and other summer programs
- Summer Camps consist of outdoor activities such as camping, rock climbing, hiking, kayaking, as well as engagement with the local community through farmers markets and local outdoor centers.
- Helps Full-Time Staff facilitate programs as needed
- Facilitates ropes courses, kayaking trips, and adventure challenge activities (weekdays and weekends)
- Prepare program reports
- Attends all required training sessions
- Other tasks may include: Vehicle/Equipment upkeep, Social Media/Blogs, Program Presentations, Program Development, Outreach
Job Requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- Pass a background check
- Current Driver's License
- Obtain a CPR/First Aid certification by May 31st
- Passion to work with youth ages 10-17 outdoors
- Willingness to be flexible and at team-player
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
