Job Purpose
Under the direction of the SYEP Admin Team Lead, the Receptionist provides general front office support and assistance with a variety of clerical activities. This role is primarily responsible for reception duties to include greeting guests, answering incoming calls, directing calls to appropriate associates, receiving and properly storing documentation from parents/guardians/youth/team members, data entry, flow of correspondence and assisting/directing employee inquiries and other tasks as assigned.
Essential Functions
- Welcome visitors and staff with a positive attitude and customer service-oriented focus. Assist Y.O.U. Visitors with sign-in and locating their intended location.
- Answer and transfer incoming calls to the appropriate team member and answer door to welcome guests and staff.
- Maintain reception area and help keep training/group areas in a clean and organized fashion to ensure it is presentable and welcoming to guests.
- Receive and organize documents from parents/guardians/youth participants and deliver to appropriate department or team members.
- Organize supplies and materials for deployment out to youth/worksites/academies.
- Provide administrative support and data entry to youth employment programs.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.

Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Requirements
- 1 year of experience working in customer service
- Must pass a background BCI/FBI check as a condition of employment.

Work Environment
- This position is primarily based in an office setting. The work pace for this position is moderate where work is required for up to 2 hours at a time. High supervision from manager with intermittent prompts is expected. Social interaction with clients and team members required frequently.
- This position requires such physical abilities as sitting for computer and phone work for up to 2 hours at a time, standing occasionally, lifting up to 20lbs often and 50lbs occasionally, carrying office supplies, walking to various local Y.O.U. office locations, and walking throughout the office buildings.
- Majority of work is done in a controlled office environment. The environment in which the job is performed outside a normal office space may include exposure to extreme temperature, noise, or other hazards. All remains the same for any additional requirements for training.
