Key Responsibilities :
The shift supervisor is responsible for overseeing facility operations and supervising and directing personnel during assigned shift.

Requirements :
Education : High School Diploma Required. Bachelors Degree Preferred.
Experience : Minimum of three years of experience working with children with serious emotional disturbances or substance abuse problems in a residential setting is required. Prior supervisory experience in related setting is preferred. Working knowledge of and ability to assist in assessing youth regarding chemical dependency, substance abuse, and physical, sexual, and emotional abuse.
Skills : Possession of or ability to obtain first aid / CPR; Effectively supervise, direct, monitor and appropriately interact with youth, and diplomatically deal with sensitive situations; Effective verbal and communication skills with co-workers, other stakeholder departments, Probation Officers, caseworkers, law enforcement and court personnel, juvenile residents, and the public, including being sensitive to professional ethics, gender, cultural diversities and disabilities.
Physical Demands : Must be in good physical health, emotionally stable, and be able to move about the property. Must be able to participate in youth activities. Must be able to transport youth or staff. Must be free of communicable diseases as defined by the state and to the extent that data is attainable under the law. Must be able to pass evaluation of physical techniques and written certification exam.
Other : Must maintain an appropriate and valid state drivers license and safe driving record. Must meet required state or local criminal background check requirements and be at least 21 years of age. Must have ability to occasionally work extended, evening and / or weekend hours.
