YPI is a queer-affirming and celebratory space with a diverse population including but not limited to BIPOC youth, youth experiencing homelessness and unstable housing, low-to-no SES, neurodiverse, disabled and differently abled, individuals navigating psychosocial and cognitive issues, and trauma survivors.

About the Position
YPI is in search of an experienced candidate for the Services and Clinical Manager role. Under the direction of the Director of Youth Services, the services and clinical manager will provide general daily case-by-case services, resource acquisition, intakes, assessments, advocacy, emergency situation management, and crisis intervention as needed to YPI youth and participants.
Our participants come in with a diverse set of needs that varies from individual to individual. This includes but is not limited to; gender-and-queer-affirming care, one-to-one clinical services, creation and development of individualized interventions and treatment plans, housing, vocational help, connections to other agencies and resources, navigation of day-to-day needs, living on their own for the first time, system-navigation support, school and GED support, substance use issues, involvement in carceral systems, foster and DCYF systems.
The Services and Case Management will be the point person to document, provide intakes, assess, develop intervention plans, carry them through for housing, clinical and other services as needed, and be available during drop-in hours at the center to help in the milieu setting as well as giving out services and supports as needed in community settings. Services and Clinical manager will work closely with the Director of Youth Services to determine eligibility for mental health services and connect youth to outside services when they require a higher / alternative level of care.
We are looking for a person with a firm commitment to the well-being of our youth with duties that include :
- Maintain ongoing communication with Director of Youth services and, to a lesser degree, YPI per diem clinicians supporting case management, advocacy, follow-up efforts, and wrap-around services
- Provide direct support and referral to appropriate services including but not limited to housing, medical care, mental health support, education, job training, basic needs, substance use prevention etc.
- Develop and maintain treatment and intervention plans in YPI’s emerging services programs with individual clients
- Have a managing role in coordinating services for YPI’s YHDP CoC And CHF resources for housing. This includes working with the housing services team to deliver services including but not limited too; 1st month rent / security depositions, diversion, transportation and moving costs, and other supportives services as specified by YPI’s grants and funding, getting youth into and accepting youth from state Coordinated Entry System (CES) and HMIS
- Providing assessment of youth needs in context of YPI services and resources, one-one counseling as needed.
- Connect youth to YPI’s clinicians for therapy as well as determining need for elevated and alternative levels of care and referring out appropriately.
- Providing services and case management support to clinicians to ensure connections to resources and needs determined by clinician are met.
- Checking in with the Director of Youth services to determine wrap-around care plans.
- Ability to assess for risk and intervene in emerging situations including but not limited to, suicide risk management plans, mandated reporting situations, determing immiment harm and working with protocols and director of youth services to determine next steps, and conflicts between participants.
- Possible group development and facilitation of support groups,
- Form and intake completion, assessment, documentation, data collection, and updating
- Facilitation and provision of support groups pertaining to substance use prevention, and recovery through gender-and-queer affirming lenses.

Work Hours and Expectations
Work hours will be spent between street outreach and at our YPI’s main space in Providence as well as potential satellite offices in Woonsocket, Pawtucket, and Warwick and around the state (mostly in the greater Providence area) in individual client spaces. Reliable transportation is a must.
