Full-time, Hybrid Position $37.40/hour This position is currently available through September 2025. The continuation of the position beyond this date is contingent upon the availability of future funding.
Under the supervision of the CfE Senior Project Manager, the Regional Implementation Coordinator will play a critical role in developing the capacity of the Center for Excellence for Evidence-Based Implementation (CfE) by coordinating and facilitating regional elements of the roll-out, implementation, and sustainability of key evidence-based programs (EBPs). Key programs include Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Brief Strategic Family Therapy (BSFT) as well as EBP practices identified within the New York State Family First Prevention Services Act, Prevention Plan. Housed within the Strategy, Equity and Advancement (SEA) department, the Regional Implementation Coordinator will work closely with other key department staff and CfE staff.
To successfully manage these responsibilities, the Regional Implementation Coordinator must possess skills that would enable them to effectively complete the following duties:
- Coordinate with the Family First Implementation Specialist (FFIS) to ensure that tasks related to EBP implementation are efficiently executed across assigned counties.
- Liaise between the FFIS and caseworkers, supervisors, and staff development coordinators (SDCs) at the preventive agencies and Local Department of Social Services (LDSS’) as needed.
- Provide support for MI implementation, which involves conducting role-playing of child welfare scenarios and providing fidelity adherence coaching to staff members in assigned counties.
- Utilize the AI-drive platform, LYSSN, to facilitate MI implementation support activities.
- Within the region serve as the point person for local districts, preventive agencies, OCFS regional offices, and associated staff.
- In collaboration with the CfE team, identify areas where additional training and support is recommended for staff who have participated in the fidelity checks.
- Assist in assigned tasks related to the training and adherence monitoring phase of BSFT as needed.
- Support in the monitoring of training completion and other compliance activities, as assigned.
- Share updates and challenges that may arise within the counties as they relate to training completion and fidelity monitoring of EBPs.
- Coordinate with the LDSS and Research Analyst to verify accurate lists of eligible staff for booster training or fidelity checks and communicate with counties to address any attrition or staff changes.
- Engage in CfE-, BSFT-, and MI-related meetings and training.

Qualifications
Education and Experience

- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Human Services, or a closely related discipline AND at least 2 years of experience in a social service, clinical, or client-facing setting.
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a field noted above AND at least 1 year of experience in a clinical or client-facing setting.
- Knowledge of child welfare/child and family well-being systems, the Family First Prevention Services Act, and related evidenced-based programs.
- Knowledge of Motivational Interviewing required.
- Knowledge of Brief Strategic Family Therapy preferred.
- Experience with implementation and/or coaching of an evidence-based program preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent and demonstrated ability to build, foster, and maintain internal and external relationships.
- Ability to synthesize complex information and apply it to strategic recommendations.
- A basic working knowledge of data analytics, interpretation, outcome analysis, and statistically driven recommendations.
- Commitment to teamwork and proactively fostering a collegial work environment.

- Intermediate-level computer skills required, including high proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and virtual meeting platforms.
- Availability to work variable days and work hours and travel regularly throughout NYS to attend meetings, including travel to areas that may not be served by public transportation.
Additional Information
A valid NYS Driver’s license is required.
