The Youth Service Bureau is seeking individuals who enjoy engaging and working with youth in a meaningful way to serve as a full time Counselor at Youth Service Bureau.
Youth Service Bureau is a licensed Child Welfare agency that has been serving at-risk youth and their families for over 40 years. The agency serves the counties of Mason, Menard, Sangamon, Christian and Logan. The Youth Service Bureau provides services to youth ages 11-24 that are abused, neglected and runaway or homeless.
Job Description: Counselors provide individual counseling, assessments, identifies service needs, makes referrals to appropriate community agencies for services not provided through YSB, develops and manages case plans, and assists with personal problem solving and goal setting for clients.
Requirements: Applicants must:
- Be a minimum of 21 years of age
- Hold a current IL Driver's License and have a good driving record
- Have current automobile insurance
- Have a Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Counseling or Social Services
- Be able to pass a DCFS background check
