DESCRIPTION:
Trains and supports case management staff; coordinates and monitors both the housing and case management services to ensure program goals and client goals are being met.
DUTIES:
- Manage staff to maximize productivity and efficiency, including: hiring, directing job assignments, monitoring and assessing staff performance, coaching, assuring compliance with regulatory requirements and YST organizational mission; provide recommendations for staff compensation, promotion and termination actions, as appropriate.
- Assist the Program Director in the daily operations and administration of the program to assure services are provided to clients in a timely manner and targeted program outcomes are achieved.
- Supervise assessment activities of the Specialists to accurately identify problems and provide resource information, direct referral and/or crisis counseling services as appropriate to address the presenting social, legal or economic issue(s) confronting the client and or parent/family; track and follow up to assure effectiveness of service(s)/treatment provided.
- Respond to client-related emergencies as appropriate and/or when directed to orchestrate effective resolution.
- Provide professional consultation and coaching for program staff directly involved in providing services to clients to assure targeted outcomes are met for client population.
- Enter and maintain data necessary to document the activities of the staff and provision of program services; analyze data and provide accurate and timely internal and external statistics required to support data-driven management decisions and meaningful program evaluations and reports/files which comply with regulatory reporting obligations.
- Participate in periodic program meetings and community activities to assure accurate, timely communication regarding agency initiatives, facilitate agency initiatives and promote good working relationships.
- Participate in community activities as requested by Program Director to increase awareness of program services, encourage intern participation, foster partnerships with outside agencies, promote referrals from community agencies, and gain improved knowledge of client needs.
- Demonstrate the highest levels of customer service orientation and welcoming acceptance for all clients, visitors and staff to assure that the behavior modeled as a YST leader is congruent with the agency mission and values.
REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Services or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience is required for this position. Master’s Degree in social services field strongly preferred.
- Must have and maintain a valid OK state driver’s license.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Four years’ experience working with youth and families preferred
- Two years’ supervisory experience preferred
