Job Summary:
The PFS Project Coordinator will plan and coordinate prevention strategies, work with community coalitions, schools and youth serving organizations to impact youth age 9-20 who are at higher risk of developing a Substance Use Disorder (SUD). Be trained to facilitate trainings in schools and the community. Coordinate youth programs, host group meetings, and provide opportunities for youth leadership. Improve the health and safety of communities. Attend professional development trainings, state and national conferences, and become a Certified Prevention Specialist.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Use Local, Regional, State and Federal Data to inform the Strategic Prevention Framework & Share Data with Stakeholders
- Draft 5yr/Annual Comprehensive Prevention Plan (PFS) in Compliance with Grant Goals, Objectives & Outcomes, using the 6 Proven Prevention Strategies with Target Populations, Culturally Appropriate & Evidence-Based Practices
- Coordinate All Plan Activity to Implement the Annual Comprehensive Prevention Plan in Compliance with Grant Goals, Objectives & Outcomes
- Network and Strengthen Partnerships with Local Organizations and Individuals to Implement Plan Activity
- Support & Sustain Local Community Coalitions and Active Youth Coalitions
- Provide BBH and Marshall University Approved Prevention Education
- Attend All Required Trainings and Meetings
- Prepare, Submit & Maintain Monthly Activity Reporting Forms, Plan Progress Reports and Other Required Documentation
- Research and Assist with Securing Alternative Funding Sources to Implement & Sustain Projects
- Perform Other Duties as Assigned

Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Services, or related field required.
- Certification in IC & RC Prevention Specialist I or II eligible required.
