Youth Shelters & Family Services is seeking a dynamic individual to be the Administrative Assistant for our leadership team located at the Administrative Office here in Santa Fe, NM!
The position includes ensuring efficient and professional operation of the Administrative Office; acting as liaison between the agency and the community while providing front desk reception duties; providing support to leadership team, general program administrative support including data entry and donor acknowledgment, file management, assisting with agency events, and management of the in-kind donation process.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform front desk reception duties, clerical and administrative support, as assigned.
- Provide facilitation of the Board of Directors processes including meeting notices, Board packets, etc.
- Participate in preparing content for organization’s social media platforms coordinating content and visuals with program staff.
- Complete the daily mail process including pick up, posting, delivery and postage meter maintenance.
- Maintain office supply inventories, ordering, checking, returns and allocations.
- Provide for upkeep of the front desk office space/waiting area by facilitating window cleaning, snow removal and other tasks which would insure a tidy, welcoming, safe space including scheduling and assisting with maintaining agency donation room.
- Provide support for the Development Department.
- Navigation for processing incoming youth.
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience with homeless youth, preferred.
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Windows, Excel and Word, required.
- Strong data entry experience, with high demand for attention to detail.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure and adjust to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Initiative, creativity, reliability, flexibility, thoroughness.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with good quality spelling, grammar and punctuation.
- High integrity when dealing with a broad array of cultures and restricted and/or confidential information.
- Valid driver’s license, insurable under YSFS automobile policy. Must be 21 years of age to meet minimum eligibility requirements of automobile insurance carrier.
- Able to pass a background check.
Schedule
- Coverage will be Monday through Friday
- Weekends may be required occasionally.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- Salary: from $19.00/hr.
