Turn-About Ranch is seeking a Licensed Nurse who is interested in being a part of our team and making a lasting difference in the lives of our students. Turn-About Ranch is a Residential Treatment Facility for youth ages 12-17 located on a working cattle ranch. Work location is between Bryce Canyon and Capitol Reef National Parks in the heart of the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument. The ranch is in a remote and spectacular part of the country!

Nurse Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Utah license.
- Graduate of an accredited college with Degree in Nursing.
- Must be willing to relocate to Escalante, UT.
- Two years of nursing experience preferred, but not required.
- Requires strong clinical skills and communication skills, both verbal and written. Intermediate level PC skills required. Should have experience working with and around adolescents.
Nurse Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide timely, appropriate medical care for patients of the Facility, maintain quality of care in the Facility and be responsible for medically related activities of the Facility.
- Provides prescriptions for medical and psychiatric medications under the advice and direction of a medical doctor.
- Assesses and evaluates responses to medications and monitors for potential side effects and or adverse reactions.
- Consults with other members of the treatment team on clients’ treatment plans.
- Documents using Subjective information, Objective information, Assessment Plan/Symptom Observation Assessment Plan format a complete assessment and plan including all medication changes on each clients.
- Participates in Staff in-service, provides training on medical issues, and attends clinical meetings to provide input on case management.
- Manages first aid kits and medical needs and supplies.
- Consults with medical doctor regularly on treatment plans for clients.
- Participate in quality assurance, performance improvement, risk management or utilization review programs that company determines are necessary for the provision of quality Services.
- Works under minimal supervision and relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned goals and consults with superior or higher levels of medical management on the more difficult and complex phases of work.
- Advise and consult with appropriate Facility personnel regarding equipment, supplies, and maintenance needs of that portion of the Facility where Services are provided and, upon request of Company, participate in attaining such needs.
- Coordinates with outside clinicians, medical director, and/or nurse regarding student/client treatment issues, professional consultations, or medication evaluations.
