YouthBuild Philadelphia Charter School is a tuition-free, public charter high school, with a singular focus on supporting youth aged 17-20 who have been pushed out of traditional schools. During our 1-year alternative program, Youthbuild facilitates a warm, loving culture that uses a variety of structures to build community, such as a restorative-justice approach to discipline, weekly community meetings, and school-wide service projects. The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Chief of Staff and Strategy (CSS), the Director of Compliance and Implementation (DCI) will ensure that YouthBuild Philly meets all district, state, federal, and funder regulations and requirements and maintains eligibility and good standing for all current revenue streams. The DCI will serve as lead project manager and school-wide liaison for all post-award grant and district, state, and federal compliance activities, responsible for training staff, auditing and revising policies and programming, monitoring progress towards grant requirements, tracking, gathering, and submitting data and documentation, in some cases liaising with grant program officers and coordinating grantor site visits, and managing the Compliance team.

Requirements
What You’ll Do:You will…
- Serve as lead project manager for post-award grant administration and state/district compliance, ultimately ensuring that all requirements are met and all submissions are high-quality and completed on time
- Maintain grant, district, and state compliance submission calendar(s)
- Facilitate student selection process for grants by assembling data and requirements for School Leadership Team to make selection decisions
- Lead process for enrolling participants on grants and ensure these processes are embedded into the larger school calendar
- Coordinate grantor site visits in partnership with the extended leadership team
- Coordinate staff attendance for required grant meetings, conferences, learning communities and trainings by attending, assigning compliance team members to attend, or collaborating with the leadership team to assign other staff to attend and ensure that all relevant information from these meetings is brought back to the extended leadership team
- Lead process for tracking, gathering, and submitting all required data, deliverables, and reports (Ex: Service hours, attendance, time sheets, outcomes, case notes, volunteer sheets etc.) for grantors following submission calendar(s), completing some of these items directly and supervising the compliance team in completing others
- Liaison with grant program officers (in collaboration with the Senior Director of Development and Chief Development Officer)
- Liaison with Finance department to ensure that grant monies are properly allocated
- Collaborate with the extended leadership team and staff to ensure compliance with district, state, and grantor rules and regulations including auditing and revising policies and programming to meet requirements and meeting regularly with staff to monitor progress towards grant requirements
- Communicate with and train staff on district, state, grant requirements and ensure that staff understand and are able to articulate how YouthBuild programming aligns with requirements
- Collaborate with the CSS and the School Leadership Team to help design program elements as needed for new grants
- Support the CSS with managing the charter renewal process and deliverables
- Provide input on grant renewals and new grant applications in collaboration with the Development team
- Manage, supervise, support, and professionally develop the Compliance team
- Other duties as assigned by the Chief of Staff and Strategy

Salary Range:
New YouthBuild Director level staff can expect a starting salary of between $80,000 - $95,000 based on years of experience, education, and certifications, if applicable.
