The Rehabilitation Manager is responsible for planning and designing, directing, integrating and coordinating services, and planning and implementing performance improvement activities for the therapy department. The Manager is also responsible for the supervision of Physical Therapists, Physical Therapy Assistants, Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy Assistants, Speech Language Pathologists, and technicians as set by hospital policy and as required by state practice acts. Required Education Associate’s degree (preferred) Required Experience 3 years of clinical experience 1 year of leadership / supervisory experience (preferred) Required Licensure / Certifications State licensure in a therapy discipline (PT, SLP, OT) BLS Physical Demands MEDIUM WORK: Lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and/or 10 lbs. constantly. OSHA Risk Category Classification 2: Jobs in which required tasks normally do not involve the potential for occupational exposure to blood and body fluids, but may require performing unplanned Classification 1 tasks. Essential Functions Manages department staff, including recruitment, scheduling, payroll, and performance evaluations. Serves as a resource person for shift members in an effort to build a stronger core staff. Recognizes when a staff member needs additional assistance and either provides assistance or delegates such to ensure that the patient’s care and safety needs are met in a timely matte
