YSS’s Kids Club program is designed to support healthy development beyond the classroom. Building on children's natural desire to learn new things, our program helps them become more self-reliant. Our fully-trained, high-quality staff create a nurturing, comfortable and positive environment, allowing children to build positive relationships with caring adults.
As a Preschool Kids Club Program Assistant, you will be responsible for providing direct supervision and appropriate planned activities for participants. You will coordinate activities with other staff and volunteers to assure the maximum amount of supervision. Other duties include following schedules, record keeping, and tutoring in order to help make the experience worthwhile for the participants.
You will have the opportunity to select your preference of locations, shifts, and availability to work during breaks within the application.

A day in the life of a Preschool Kid Club Program Assistant could look like:
- Directly supervising children in the Kids Club Program and coordinating with community resources scheduled to provide recreational and educational activities for participants.
- Helping to plan and implement the activities of Kids Club which focus on meeting goals and objectives for each group.
- Helping prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks.
- Providing all-day programming for full school length days during the school year and during winter and spring breaks.
- Completing incident reports as necessary.
- Maintaining a clean facility, equipment, and supplies.
- Maintaining good working relationships with school personnel, janitors, secretaries, and parents.
- Recording behavior and participation of each child in the program and help to evaluate progress.

What You'll Need
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Previous experience with supervising children is a plus.
- Must obtain CPR/First Aid certification within three months of hire.
