Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate and sample asbestos and other hazardous substances.
- Write investigation reports.
- Assist Project Managers with management of asbestos abatement oversight projects and quality control visits.
- Develop and review abatement and remediation plans.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Current NYC DEP Asbestos Investigator license.
- NYS Asbestos Inspector certification.
- Degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in asbestos inspections/investigations, knowledge of applicable regulations for New York State and New York City.
- Proficiency in computer applications: Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
- Good writing and communication skills.
- OSHA 10-hr. and OSHA 30-hr. Construction Safety certifications.
