DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Asbestos and other hazardous substances investigations and sampling of suspect materials, investigation report writing
- Assist Project Manager with management of asbestos abatement oversight projects/QC visits
- Assist in development and/or review of abatement and remediation plans and specifications. Ability to read architectural and mechanical drawings
- Ability to work effectively under a deadline
- Ability to work both in the office and in the field
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment if working in hazardous conditions
- Required: current NYC DEP Asbestos Investigator license and NYS Asbestos Inspector certification
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, or related field
- 3 Years of experience in Asbestos Inspections/Investigations with knowledge of applicable regulations for New York State and New York City
- Proficiency in computer applications: Word, Excel, Power Point, etc
- Good writing and communication skills
- OSHA 10-hr. and OSHA 30-hr. Construction Safety
- NYSDOL Project Monitor, Designer, Mold Assessor and EPA Lead Inspector certifications are a plus
- Knowledge of CAD is a plus
