Job Summary : Responsible for maintaining computer networks and systems including software, mainframes, VPNS, routers and other physical hardware. Works with Miles IT, a provider of IT management and security, to provide support to all members of the organization.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Serve as liaison between Yuasa employees and Miles IT.
- Work with Miles IT to provide technical assistance related to computer systems, including installation of software, hardware, and peripheral components, such as monitors, keyboards, printers, scanners, and disk drives on user premises.
- Manage onboarding and offboarding processes and coordinate with Miles IT and HR to ensure proper deployment of new PC’s, proper training for new employees, employee accounts activation / deactivation, and the return of company IT equipment.
- Diagnose technical issues and work with Miles IT to resolve. Inform Manager of complex issues and provide proposed solutions to resolve.
- Review network, software, and application updates to ensure network performance and compliances.
- Coordinate with phone provider(s) to provide support to employees. Ensure cell phones are updated for international travel when applicable.
- Research questions using available information and resources and advise users on appropriate actions. Escalate to the Manager to ensure that issues are resolved timely.
- Work with Miles IT to resolve technical issues with Local Area Networks and Wide Area networks and other systems.
- Inform management of recurring problems.
- Stay current with system information, changes and updates.
- Other reporting and duties as assigned.
