Job DescriptionDESCRIPTION OF DUTIES :
- The person selected will :
- Provide leadership in the development and maintenance of a relevant community college curriculum in Administration of Justice;
- Provide instruction in Law Enforcement and Corrections Associate and Certificate programs;
- Prepare complete course syllabi and outline, and work on articulation with local colleges and universities;
- Adapt instructional techniques to accommodate varied learning styles and abilities to support student success;
- Teach day, evening, and / or weekend assignments;
- Participate in district / college / division committees as required to maintain and improve the instructional program;
- Establish and participate in the activities of the Administration of Justice Advisory Committee;
- Be committed to the participatory governance process.Required QualificationsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS : The successful candidate, by the final filing date, must possess the minimum qualifications for instructors in Administration of Justice at California Community Colleges :
- Any associate degree and six years of full-time occupational experience in the related field OR
- Any bachelor's degree and two years of full-time occupational experience in the related field OR
- The equivalent OR
- Possess a California Community life credential in the subject matter area.
