What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mental Health Associate position at Yucaipa-Calimesa Jt. Unified?
Under the supervision of the Executive Director, Student Services (or designee) and the clinical supervision of the Coordinator - Metal Health Services and/or a Behavioral Health Counselor (BHC), conducts mental health assessments, provides direct mental health services to students (individually and in groups), and participates in consultations with District personnel in support of the mental health needs of students. The Mental Health Associate works in collaboration with private providers and public agencies to facilitate treatment and referrals, attends student progress meetings, and performs all related work and duties otherwise assigned as required. Clinical supervision by a licensed clinician who meets the supervision requirements mandated by the Board of Behavioral Sciences is available for candidates who are in the process of accruing hours for licensure. A completed online application with uploaded resume, 2 current letters of recommendation, AMFT, APCC, or ACSW license is required of all applicants to be considered for this opening. Possession of a license as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW is also suitable to meet licensure requirements.
