Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist

Job Summary:
This position is responsible for providing comprehensive nutritional care and case management to high-risk clients and all eligible participants served by the WIC Program. The successful candidate will also be responsible for completing Enteral Nutrition Prescription Request forms, traveling to surrounding villages to provide care and WIC certification, and participating in continuous program improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nutritional care and case management to high-risk clients and all eligible participants served by the WIC Program.
- Complete Enteral Nutrition Prescription Request forms.
- Travel to surrounding villages to provide care and WIC certification.
- Participate in continuous program improvement efforts.
- Provide outreach through community classes, presentations, and events.
- Mentor and train other staff members.
Requirements:
- Minimum education requirements required by the State of Alaska to maintain Dietitian Licensure or Nutritionist Licensure.
- New graduates accepted.
- Prior experience providing nutrition and breastfeeding education, counseling, and promotion to pregnant, breastfeeding, postpartum, children, and infant participants is preferred.
- Maintain State of Alaska Dietitian Licensure or Nutritionist Licensure.
- Maintain BLS certification.
- Proficiency with common software applications and knowledge of public health nutrition principles and practices.
